Round 2 (United Pro Invitational Day One): Royals bounce back

Royals - Atlanta Black Ice 75-65

One of the most interesting games of round 2 was a derby match between the Royals and Black Ice club. Royals guard Isaiah Moody (183-PG, college: Southeastern) fired 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Roman Son (180-PG, college: Columbus St.) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Marquis Barnes (183-PG-1986, college: Gordon CC) produced 14 points and Isaiah Wray (198-F, college: Gordon CC) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had three players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Royals move to 1-1 in the standings.

Immortals - Spartans 70-50

Dominican Rep. Immortals dominate hosting Georgia Spartans at home 70-50. GIE Immortals forced 14 Spartan turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively yet again handing out 17 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Spartans' players. CSU All-American Jarrett Adderton (190-G, college: Columbus St.) stepped up by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds, 1 blocks and 3 steals for the winners. Star import Glen Rice Jr. (198-F-1991, college: Georgia Tech) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Immortals coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward-guard D'Angelo Elliott (196-G, college: Temple JC) responded with 14 points and Kam O'Bannon (193-G, college: Yavapai CC) produced 10 points and 5 rebounds. Five Immortal players scored in double figures. Immortals move to 2-0 in the standings for day one.
